I think it is safe to say many people were as stunned as myself at just how awesome Star Wars Rebels turned out to be. Now the Clone Wars show was awesome as well, but it didn’t seem like they could keep that pace up for long. Rebels drives home an even more mature feeling Star Wars universe than the one shown to us in the Clone Wars. It is as if the series (movie and TV) are now maturing at the same pace as the fans, so the end result is more driven stories with betrayal and intrigue and politics, as well as some badass Jedi battles, of course.
Great news for fans of Star Wars Rebels as we have JUST found out it will return on September 24th on Disney XD. The teaser above gives you a little glimpse into what to expect, but don’t expect much. They are called teasers for a reason, after all.
And the very best part is, right around the time the third season of Star Wars Rebels finishes, Rogue One will be hitting theaters. It’s a pretty great time to be a Star Wars fan right now. We haven’t had it this good since the late 70’s, early 80’s (as long as you don’t count that abysmally awesome Christmas special, and yes, I used abysmal and awesome together for a reason.)
Because somehow it is SO bad, it ends up being good, like that movie Birdemic.
